While speaking in Montana on Monday night to promote his recently released book, former Vice President Joe Biden stated his belief that he is the “most qualified person in the country to be president,” while fueling speculation as to a possible 2020 White House run.
“I’ll be as straight with you as I can,” said Biden, who went on to say “I think I’m the most qualified person in the country to be president.”
The former VP said the decision would be made with his family, which he said would come within “the next six weeks to two months,” and took a thinly-veiled shot at President Trump, who he referred to as “a guy who can’t tell the truth.”
Biden has repeatedly touted himself as the most viable candidate for Democrats to oppose President Trump, citing his experience.

Trump supporters were not amused by Biden’s proclamation, nor his claims of being the “most qualified” presidential candidate, and many took to Twitter to share their reactions.

Biden says he’s the most qualified for President. Except he has a long history, with video proof, of racist comments, getting caught in endless lies, groping women, and crazy gaffes. So it takes off the table all the Dems favorite Trump attacks: https://t.co/5WyZQbqCg0
